What is the history of the Alligator Rainwear Company?

According to the London Gazette archive the company was placed into administration in January 1978. The firms head office was in the St James Buildings, Oxford Street, Manchester. The factory was a former cotton mill in Portwood, Stockport.

Willie Satinoff, a member of the family that controlled the company, was killed in the 1958 Munich air disaster.
