There are a lot of things that you should not do. Some of these things include:

  • Adding/Subtracting an item from one side without doing the same to the other side
  • Forget key notations (like "aqueous" or ions)
  • Confuse elements by writing in the wrong case, e.g. NB does not equal Nb.
  • Perform any non-chemistry work at the same time.
