No. Saini's are descendants of the Kshatriya class. They are considered the second highest class after Brahmins. Unlike the Jat clan, which consists of castes mostly from the working class, Saini's are distinguished as the higher warrior class. In Punjab, Saini's who were Sikhs took the landlord occupation like the Sikh Jatts. Thus, in Punjab there status is considered equivalent to Sikh Jatts.
