Zambia has eight neighboring countries. These are Tanzania to the northeast, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe to the south, Botswana and Namibia to the southwest (via the Zambezi River), and Angola to the west. The country also shares a border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north.
