Misuse of technology can be defined in two categories, Cultural and Education. The general value of a defined object is determined by that of its user, but technology generally refers to value given by its inventor or by society in general. So, misuse tends be using technology in matters that are ineffective, inefficient, or harmful towards to subject or its user. In cultural terms, technological devices have a cultural impact where it not used in the manner common to culture, it is categorized is a "misuse of technology." In education it is easier to define as 'lack of understanding.' Many individuals lack comprehension of the workings of a technological object to operate it correctly. "Technology that is used ineffectively, inefficiently, or in actions harmful to the subject or its user not propagated by its creator or designated as proper use by society in general."
