How does climate affect food grown in England?

It's not just in England, but in all parts of the world. If the temperature is too cold or too wet some plants won't grow as well or will grow quite well but not have much nutritional value to them. Cold seasons hinder plant growth, whereas warmer seasons like in spring and summer, plant growth is encouraged.
