What are hazards you may encounter while motorboating?

Hazards while motorboating might include:

• lack of life preservers or people not wearing them
• drinking while boating
• "overboard!"
• mechanical trouble
• outboard / motor trouble
• leak
• shallow water
• rocks
• weeds in shallow waters
• inexperienced boaters
• jetskiers or other boaters not maintaining rules of boating
• bad weather
• foggy weather
• waterspout (tornado over water)
• running out of fuel
• other unforeseen trouble
