Answer: Contact the local fire department, ask them if you can use your pool as a resivoir. They will use your pool as a supply source for fighting fires if neccessary. They will fill it for free. But in the case of a local fire, you may find no water in the pool. cost effective...YES! Some fire departments still do this.Some dont. Hope this helps.
