How do you activate the red boxes in Mario 64?

get 20 stars and in the main room you will see that the painting of the sun on the celing is giving off a glow close up on it and the you will find your self in the sky to control this up is down and down is up and land on the island in the center once you do press the button NOTE: IT IS NOT A HIDDEN BUTTON PEOPLE IT BIG AND RED YOU CANT MISS IT! butt bounce it and ALL the red boxs will be solid yay now you can get wing and metal caps
