Thomas Jefferson's mother Jane Randolph Jefferson was born in Tower Hamlets of Shadwell which was a maritime district of London, England. His father Peter Jefferson was born in Chesterfield County, Virginia. For a couple years after his parents marriage they lived in Powhatan County, Virginia near Fine Creek.
