What is the difference between pathetic fallacy and personification?

Pathetic Fallacy is when someones emotions are influenced by the weather.

Personification is when an author makes an object sound like a person because it is easier for us to relate to an object with human attributes.

Pathetic fallacy is a special kind of personification.
