Thomas L. Young (born December 14, 1832 in Killyleagh; died July 20, 1888 in Cincinnati, Ohio) succeeded Rutherford B. Hayes as the thirty-third Governor of Ohio, serving between March 2, 1877 and January 14, 1878.
Following the end of Young's term as Governor of Ohio, Richard M. Bishop (born November 4, 1812 in Fleming County, Kentucky; died March 2, 1893 in Jacksonville, Florida) became the thirty-fourth Governor of Ohio, serving between January 14, 1878 and January 12, 1880.
