How do you hang drapes on a patio door?

You hang drapes by installing a drapery rod above and to each side of the door generally 2-3" to the left and right of the frame. Since there may be wood or metal framing around the door you may need to tap a nail in first to see if you can gain purchase for the brackets to install securely. Draw drapery rods can be bought that draw to the middle or to either the left or right as is appropriate for your installation.
