What images are produced by the eye and the camera?

Both the eye and the camera capture images by focusing light onto a photosensitive medium. In the eye, light is focused onto the retina, where photoreceptor cells convert it into neural signals sent to the brain. In a camera, light is directed onto a sensor or film, which records the image based on exposure. While the eye perceives images in real time and processes them dynamically, a camera produces a static representation of a moment in time.
