Is it legal to strip search a juvenile?

Apparently yes it is, my daughter was arrested with less than half a joint in her possession and she was strip searched, in the state of Indiana.. I was irate that this had happened and questioned the supervisor at the detention center who informed me that they are required to strip search (which is not the same as a body cavity search) anyone minor who is brought in on any type of drug or weapon charge among other things.. he said at one point he was required to strip search a 7 year old... i am completely outraged by this procedure.
