How would you obtain information on your route?

It depends on who you drive for.

Some companies will give you a specific route to follow. Some will give you a "suggested" route, and if that's the case look close because I've been sent a couple hundred miles out of the way by following these kinds of routes. And others will just tell you "be at the shipper at this time, at the consignee at this time" and let you use your atlas, google Maps and GPS to figure out where you're going.
