Ford 5.8 V8 marine braking alternator belts?

If you have a Mercruiser, there was a recall on the pulley that was first used. As I remember, the pulley was wearing out the belt prematurely causing it to break, and or jump off. I would check with a Mercruiser dealer to see if applicable to your engine.
