Normally, the female Whitetail Deer will go into heat in November, the exact timing depending on the latitude. I'm not sure if the reason for the variation is hours of sunlight or the descending temperatures. This rut lasts about a week. The gestation period is 200 days, which will mean that the first batch of fawns are born in late May to early June. The females that are not impregnated during that first November rut will go into heat again one month later, ie in December. Then a second, but smaller batch of fawns will be born in late June or early July.
