Agrizoophobia is described as an irrational or abnormal fear of wild animals. This is not the same as a person who has a mere aversion to wild animals. Many of us would be frightened if we encountered a lion in the wild, for example, but experience no fear when viewing them at the zoo. The person with the condition will usually experience multiple, physical signs of extreme distress.
