There are a number of projectors that can be mounted vertically. It is important to ensure that the cooling system will operate correctly and the manufacturer will be able to advise.

Any projector can be used to project vertically by using a mirror in front of the lens. With the projector horizontal, a mirror at about 45 degrees will direct the image upwards or downwards. The mirror will need to be mounted firmly to avoid slippage and vibration.

Although any mirror can be used, it should ideally be a front silvered or first surface mirror. This type of mirror reflects light on the front surface and avoids a ghost reflection caused by the front and rear surfaces of the glass both reflecting light. An audio visual system integrator may be able to supply mirrors, mounting frames and installation guidance.
