How do you turn dell xps 625 lights off by deafult I can turn them off through a little alienware app that came with it but everytime I boot it back up they come on again?

Are you talking about lights under the keyboard?

If so, there should be a button up in the function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) that looks like a pentagon with little lines popping up. On my DELL, it's on the F6 key. If you press it, you can toggle the lights between high, low, and none. If it doesn't work, open Windows Mobility Center (search it in the start menu if you don't know where it is) and under the part that says 'Customized by DELL', you can toggle it manually.
