How did Medieval knights obtain the money thay needed to pay for their horses armor and weapons?

Through service to a Lord or King, through wining torunaments, sack and raiding, fighting as mercenary, inherit a feud, but usualy since they were coming from wealthy families the equipament was not very often a problem.
