Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is pregnant with her first child. St. James Palace announced the pregnancy on Monday, December 3, 2012 after Kate was hospitalized for morning sickness. The pregnancy had been speculated for months by tabloid magazines. Kate married Prince William in April 2011. Their child will be third in line to take the throne.
