Depends on the test.

Urine tests check for the presence of a drug. In that respect, they are accurate within the limits of the test. If you are tested by a lab, their tests may or may not be more sensitive.

For example, it is possible to pass a drugstore alcohol screening test within a day of drinking, but the EtG tests that are often used for probation screenings are far more sensitive, and will detect alcohol out as far as five days -- even alcohol that did not come from drinking.
