Can you take coffee on an international flight?

Thank god yes! Just be aware that people are known to smuggle stuff in coffee and with heightened terror security it could be searched carefully.

I always bring a stovetop espresso maker and some freshly ground beans in a clear zip look so they can see through it. If I have more room I will bring a small grinder and whole beans.

Some dogs are trained to look for coffee since smugglers use it so much. Don't be a jerk and dress nicely, if they pull you and it goes fast.
