Difference between dimensional modeling and ER modeling?

E-R moDELLing basically deals with Entities and their relationships to capture the overall process of the system. While Dimensional model/Muti-Dimensional MoDELLing deals with Dimensions (point of analysis) for decision making and not to capture the process.
