Can doxycycline hyclate be used for throat infection?

It should because doxycycline is an antibiotic. If you intend to self medicate (not reccomended) do not stop taking it once you feel better, continue for at least a week or until it runs out if sooner than that. Do not take it for over a month. If you develop any rashes or some kind of reaction/side effect, stop its use and go see a doctor. If it's really bad, go to the ER.
