You should be aware of what would be on a background check. Then, be sure that you take the time to carefully explain the circumstances--include the positive solutions you took--on the application. This is particularly effective if you have a recent bankruptcy or credit issue. Of course, if there is incarceration for a felony or misdemeanor involved, your hope is that this will not affect your being qualified for the job.
