When younger yes, many individuals fear they will not be loved. No one wants to think that they will never be loved or even liked, but as one grows older they soon learn that even if you love someone they may not love you back in the same capacity and no matter how nice you are not everyone will like you. As long as you know who you are and you're a good person it doesn't really matter and as far as romantic love there is a special person out there you will meet that will be your true love.
