George H. W. Bush served two term in the U.S. House of Representatives (Texas CD#7) from January 3, 1967 to January 3, 1971, he served two terms as U.S. Vice President from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989, and he served one term as U.S. President from January 20, 1989 to January 20, 1993.
He also had several appointed positions during the 1970s, including Ambassador to the U.N., Chairman of the Republican National Committee and Director of the C.I.A.
