Can chat rooms be dangerous

If you're a smart person, no. Common sense helps when talking to people on chat rooms.

If people begin to talk about things you are not interested in, or are too mature/immature for your tastes, leave.

If you are ever uncomfortable, leave.

It does not hurt to give out basic info such as your first name, your cat's name, your country, continent, state, or province.

What does make a chat room dangerous is giving out your address, last name, credit card number, phone number, PIN, or other things you would not want strangers to figure out.
