Who discovered a blog?

Blogging or Blog is a short form for Weblog which was for the first time coined in December 1997 by an American Bogger named John Barger. He used it mainly to describe his purpose as "log the web".Later, in 1999 another blogger named Peter Merholz altered the Word weblog to "we blog" in a post he wrote. After that the revolution began and more and more started to refer it as blog thereby dropping the first Word.
