How can you make up for your sins?

First, recognise what your sins have been. Then you have to stop sinning, and after much soul searching, fasting and prayer, repenting and asking forgiveness of those who you have sinned against. Father in heaven will be notified by the Holy Spirit of the things you have done to seek forgiveness. If the Holy Spirit has found you to be truly repentant in seeking forgiveness. If all is in your favour then the Holy Spirit will tell you within your heart that you have been forgiven.

Remember what Christ said to the woman who was going to be stoned because of her immorality?? "Your sins are forgiven you, go thy way and sin no more".

Repentance is not just a quick prayer but can be a long process if your heart is not true.

*S_R* we can classify sins in to three types. first those sins that are regarding to God. disobeying him and his orders makes this type. second type are those which are regarding to others. like killing and stealing and insulting others. the third type are those that they are regarding to our self. sometime this three types or two of them would be found in one sin. like insulting others witch is against order of God and others in reality against ourself.

from other aspect each sin has it's effects. and removing the effects of different sins are not the same. for example if you steal something from someone, at first you should return it back.

so if some one wants to make up his sin, based on the effects of the sin and the one witch he damaged (God, others, himself) he should do some special things. for example in stealing, at first he should return the things that he stolen then he should apologize owner then ask God to forgive him. and this sin is quiet different from killing someone or saying lie to others.
