What do you think inspired the soldiers to declare a Christmas truce?

Oh, dude, like, have you heard of Christmas? It's this holiday where people are supposed to be all nice and stuff. So, I guess the soldiers were like, "Hey, let's take a break from shooting each other and, I don't know, exchange some gifts or something." It's like the ultimate ceasefire, but with eggnog.
