the specified airport. The layover time is the amount of time you will spend at the airport before taking off on a different plane. Bassically, when you plane lands, you get off and grab you carry-on luggage (your checked luggage will already be sent to the other aircraft) and walk to the gate printed on your boarding pass. You won't have to switch terminals either if you are flying with the same airline. Once you have boarded the second plane, it will take off like the first and take you to your final destination, or in some cases, your second stop. 1+ stop flights generally tend to be cheaper because they are more time consuming. 1 stop flights are usually used when an aircraft is too small to fly to nonstop or if the times work out better with a stop instead of direct or non-stop. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me. Hope I helped! Enjoy your flight.
