Why do hot air balloons launch early in the morning?

A balloon is usually launched in the morning in order to take adventage of the rising air temperature. As long as the temperature is rising, the balloon will need less assistance from the burning fuel to stay aloft. Less fuel burned means less fuel needs to be carried, which further reduces the effort needed to lift the balloon.
