An Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) is two letters. For example:
- .us = United States
- .uk = United Kingdom
- .mx = Mexico
- .br = Brazil
- .za = South Africa
- .bd = Bangladesh
With the exception of .uk, the ccTLD is the same as the ISO 3166-1 2-alpha code for the country. The UK uses GB for purposes other than Internet domains (for example, GBP is the currency code for British pounds).
