What is good about silk?

Silk is a natural filament that is spun by the silk worm as a cocoon. They originated in China, and have been exported to other places around the world for the purpose of farming the silk they produce to produce fabric.

Silk cloth has a very fine texture, and creates garments that are much prized for their luxurious feel and look.

The Word "silk" has such a good reputation that producers of Soy drinks have named their drink Silk, an anachronism for Soy Milk.
