In order to get the guy who is already taken, you must be his best friend first. It will take a lot of time and patience before he realizes that the one who would always be right there when he needed it through thick and thin was right in front of his eyes. Now, this does not mean to be breathing down his neck overwhelming him 24/7 but respect him and his girlfriend for what they are.
