Zheng He traveled primarily in the Indian ocean, navigating through the South China Sea, the Arabian Sea, and the waters surrounding the coasts of Southeast Asia, South Asia, and East Africa. His voyages included stops at ports in modern-day Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, and Kenya, among others. Zheng He’s expeditions were significant for establishing maritime trade routes and diplomatic relations during the Ming Dynasty.
