That's a very good question. There is no scientific method, and I don't know. But I just stumbled on that question this second in my life. I am 26 and independent. Well, enough about me.

I don't think we can. I don't like the answer they give us saying that, "all you can do is just move on, with it...". Bullsh*t.

there has to be a way for something. Chinese monks, maybe even certain doctors... but in order for them to care to ask, they'd have to type it into google to see others are this curious as well.

Problem is, we don't live and share this earth with enough "empathetic" people such as you or me... Let alone, those that do possess it, yet I feel those are the exact same who do not know the answer as well. I think you just found one of our major catch 22's in our "empathetic personality complex"...

Satisfaction can be taken in the fact that it's not a disorder and for now, or at least till we find the answer, it may be best to just follow what we have already laid before us. It may be boring, but it's better than being in the dark.

May as well try our best do move on and make our honest best of who we are to contribute to whatever we feel is of "our importance"...

No "God talk" here... but it's question's like this that make you wonder...

Congrats man, seems like you hit a major artery... I do not feel alone now. Thanks.

Anyway, all the best man... whoever you are.

P.S. Consider this: Some memories are really good as well. Best we have are our pictures to come close to storing them... If it were that easy to remove our personal memory like that, ask yourself this with all variables considered; is that something you'd really want your mind such easy access to? Think of a Grandparent on "the bed" forgetting his/hers family's names... to name just one. In that way, I'm almost grateful that forgetting does not come so easy... It is a wonder tho.
