A business email uses the same content as the body of a business letter:
- first paragraph, state why you are writing the letter.
- second paragraph, state the information supporting your request. A simple request should use no more than one paragraph.
- third paragraph, tell the recipient what you want them to do (send business cards), giving them any information necessary for them to follow through (phone number, physical mailing address, etc.). If time is of the essence, say so. Always thank the recipient for their time and/or effort.
