What is percent as a fraction mixed number or whole number?

The Word 'percent' means of a hundred', (FRom Latin ; Centum = 100).

So when an figure is say 60% (Note the percentage sign).

We can say '60/100' (Note it is now a fraction; over '100'.)

60/100 is reduced by '10' to

6/10

It is further reduced by '2' to

NB 100% is mathemtical 'Totality'. If someones says it is increased by say '200%'. , that is mathematical nonsense. What they mean to say is that it has 'doubled (x 2) in size'.
