How do you start a intoduction on a writing paper?

1. to start with re-Word the question to show you've understood e.g "what are the costs and benefits of migration?"... "migration brings many benefits to both host and source countries, yet on the contrary it also comes with costs."

2. explain the topics you will discuss e.g "there are many factors which affect the overall outcome, for example whether the migrant is able to contribute to the economy, the reasons for migration" etc.

3. slightly wrap it all up before you move onto the main part of the essay
