How do you know if a boy is not wearing boxers of briefs?

you can usually tell if their is the obvious waistband of boxers or briefs which can be seen when they bend over

although if they are not wearing underwear you will instead see a butt crack when they bend over, and if wearing something like sweats or Basketball shorts there can sometimes be an obvious penis line
