How did Dr. Seuss help the world?

He wrote a lot of great children's book that were immensely popular and remembered by generations of children. He also, through his books, raised awareness of social issues like pollution, discrimination, or war, and how damaging they can be. He gave many children their first lessons in kindness and standing up for others.
