From Asker: Note, I did some research and am somewhat confused. First of all, according to paleo enthusiasts, bacon is healthy and considered a primary meat in their diet. They basically eat it every day. Some say the nitrites are bad but vegetables have just as much nitrite. And nitrite free bacon is just made from celery juice, which still contains nitrites. Others say the saturated fat isn't good but paleo diets say it is good and since its natural fat, you shouldn't worry about it. I know it contains a lot of sodium but 2 slices a day is only around 17% of your daily intake of sodium. That's not too much if eaten in moderation. So, any expert opinions out there? and maybe post sources if possible? Thanks. (why won't wiki let askers post a description under the main question like Yahoo answers?)
