Mankind has always wanted to call ones self NORMAL. History, as well as today we wish to justify our own personality as correct. Thus we point to all the others and not normal. We grow up fearing that being different is bad. It is only the wise whom learn to cast off the Word normal and begin to live their life without fear.

Seriously, however, norms are important because you need a baseline, for tests like http://www.personality-testing.info the results would be meaningless without a normal.
