Take I-10 EAST to Jacksonville. You will bypass three cities on I-10: first, you will bypass downtown Houston, Texas by taking I-610 (Loop Fwy). [EXIT 763 off I-10, take I-610 (Loop Fwy) around downtown Houston back to I-10 EAST at EXIT 26A.] Second, bypass Lake Charles, Lousiana by taking I-210 (EXIT 25 off I-10). Finally, bypass New Orleans (if you want to) by taking I-12 EAST. (EXIT 169 off I-10 in Baton Rouge, then EXIT 85C off I-12 to get back onto I-10 EAST.) Otherwise, stay on I-10 EAST to New Orleans. Do not stay on I-10 EAST, though, if you have no desire to go to or see New Orleans, however.
