Yes, they can, though you should know the person in person in the first place.

What u should really be worrying about is if u can trust this person through life and death, it really hurts when u put all ur trust in somone then to have them break ur heart and find out they have been cheating and lieing about who they are the entire time. Long distance realationships hurt.....thats the only way i can explain them.....the constant doubt the constant worry and the constant longing for them can really tear you apart, but if u truly truly love this person then NOTHING can change the way u feel about them, if u truly love this person then u r willing too do anything too make them happy and u will believe ANYTHING they say....simply because u love them so much =) </3 be careful who u trust and who u fall for and expect the worst it wont hurt so much when or if it does come later on
